We’re relatively safe where I live in the UK when it comes to ripping CDs, unlocking phones and all that fairly basic stuff – but believe it or not, it was actually illegal to do that sort of thing until late last year, and it’s still illegal for our readers across the Atlantic. But that could change.

This week we (sadly) learned that a 9-year old had to hand over the laptop to the police and (happily) realized that the internet isn’t really a dark and dangerous place. Also we want to know if you agree or not with Eric Schmidt when he says: ‘have online privacy talk before sex talk’

Is the internet really a dark and dangerous place?

Julie Lynn Evans, ‘one of the [UK’s] foremost child psychotherapists’, says it can be. She is ‘convinced that the internet… makes any problem more urgent, more dramatic’ and that has resulted directly in a worsening in the behaviour of teens.
