What we learned this week #56
And relax. The results are all in, the exams have been marked, and that’s all over and done with. Now your kids just have to contend with college, university, or a just another year of school…this week we looked at how best to return them from the lazy summer days to the halls of education!

It’s been a stressful week for kids and parents alike. In the UK it’s been exam results time – when we find out if all that hard work, revision and shirking of chores pays off (for the record my little sister got 2 A*s and an A, just to show me up I reckon) – and in the US… well. Let’s simmer down with a look at what we learned this week.

This week I tried my hand at a bit of lifehacking – tracking my sleep and making it better, doing productivity stuff – but I guess at some point I ran into some malware (read: an ill person) and came down with a virus (read: I have a cold). Sigh. Modern technology can do a lot, but it’s still at the whim of use imperfect humans.

This is not a week to own leather sofas, as I’m sure many people have found. The heat has been almost unbearable in the Western hemisphere over the past seven days, even more reason to stay indoors and discuss the ‘hot’ (pun intended) (if inexcusable) button topics on Quib.ly!
What we learned this week #52
Okay, so I know we were all a little disappointed by the summer holidays fun being spoilt by some school talk last week but, uh, well it’s happened again. Sorry, but the stuff we’ve learnt this week about that there new English curriculum is just too darn good not to share; we’ve got more fun-in-the-sun fare though, so don’t fret, and keep lathering on the sun tan lotion!
